Alpha Chi Omega: Real, Strong, Women

I have never been more proud to be an Alpha Chi Omega.  These past few weeks have been a blessing.  Every tear shed, every moment I felt down, I was picked back up by the some of the most special women that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

This past week has also showed me what the true character embodiment of an Alpha Chi is.

An Alpha Chi is real.  She is not one to make rash decisions, and is someone that is able to put her priorities into line. She can assess what is right for herself and others, even when she is not feeling the best about herself.  She is smart in the way that she knows when and where to seek out help, and does not run away from a hard situation.  She knows that nothing is perfect, and can sort out the superficial from the not.

She knows to never give up.

An Alpha Chi is strong.  This does not mean that she is not vulnerable sometimes, or that she can never let her guard down; she simply knows that when she is feeling down in the dumps, she has someone within the sorority that can and will join her, and share in her sorrow. She knows that her sisters are there to pick her up out of this sorrow, and will love her even when she does not love herself.  They will help her seek out her beauty within, and remind her of why she is so special.  Alpha Chi's are truly a special breed of woman.

So before I close this post, I want to let everyone who reads this know that no matter what hardships we go through, no matter what may come our way, Iota Omega and Alpha Chi as a whole will stand tall.  There are no limitations to the strength and kindness of these girls.  Many have been through hell and back, and yet they still carry themselves with so much poise and class, it is truly inspirational.

I am a better person because of this organization, and I can only hope that everyone can be a part of something so special.
